| Comments: | Kuwait Oil Company had been operating a mail office in Ahmadi since 1946 which from 1 May 1950 became a fully fledged post office. The company would continued to operate the post office on behalf of the British Postal Administration, and then for the Kuwait Postal Administration, until 30 April 1965.

Neil Donaldson, who was part of the KOC administration in Ahmadi, had the post office under his responsibility while he lived in Kuwait.

Initially, a Kuwait date-stamp was used at the post office but on 2 August 1950 Ahmadi Post Office acquired its own date-stamps.

The first date-stamp, a double circle device, was meant for ordinary while the secodn date-stamp, a single circle device, was meant for registered mail. A parcel date-stamp would also have been issued at the time. |
