The 1926 King George V Issue In 1926 the first eleven values of the new KGV issue were released – some of which are found in different shades of color. The values issued were 3 pies, ½a, 1a, 2as, 3as, 4as, 8as, 12as, 1 rupee, 2 rupees and 5 rupees.

The issue was the first British India issue to be printed at the Security Printing Press at Nasik with the new multi-star watermark. All the values have been recorded on paper with inverted watermark.
