The N. Kamoo Essays – 1963: Group 1: The Large Image of Ruler A number of essays were prepared by Mr. N. Kamoo prior to the release of the first sets of stamps in June 1963. The Kamoo designs had been worked up into essays and printed but eventually rejected. None of the essays had values applied to them and they are illustrated here in three groupings.

The essays with the large image of the ruler are the only essays that include the name “DUBAI” in the design. While rejected, similarities to the eventually issued 10rs stamp are apparent. Of all the Kamoo essays this is the only one that has his name printed on it (at the bottom left).
