National Day – 1963 To celebrate the 2nd National Day of Kuwait a set of four stamps was issued depicting the ruler, Sheikh Abdullah, and the national flag of Kuwait. The values issued were 4 Fils, 5 Fils, 20 Fils and 50 Fils.

The WHO Tuberculosis Control Campaign – 1963 To commemorate the Tuberculosis Control Campaign initiated by the World Health Organization Kuwait issued a set of four stamps. The values issued were 2 Fils, 4 Fils, 8 Fils and 20 Fils.

Red Cross Centenary – 1963 – Perforated 12 On 1 September 1963 a set of stamps commemorating the centenary of the Red Cross was issued. The set consisted of 8 values and was issued in four different version being 12 and 10½ perforation, 4½ mm rouletted along with imperforated.

The values issued were 1np, 2np, 3np, 4np, 20np, 30np, 40np and 50np. The four low values being ordinary stamps while the four high values were airmail stamps.

Centenary of Red Cross - Souvenir Sheets - Imperforated - Color Variety A number of color varieties exist for all four values of souvenir sheets. They are typically darker shades of the original colors and are explained by the additional printings that were done by Stephen.

The First Set of Postage Due Stamps – 1963 Kuwait issued two sets of postage due stamps in the 1960s with the first one being issued on 19 October 1963. The values issued were 1 Fils, 2 Fils, 5 Fils, 8 Fils, 10 Fils and 25 Fils. The stamps were applied to underpaid incoming and local mail.

Arab Schools Games – 1963 On the occasion of the Arab Schools Games held in Kuwait in 1963 a set of eight stamps depicting different sports was issued. The values issued were 1 Fils, 4 Fils, 5 Fils, 8 Fils, 15 Fils, 20 Fils, 35 Fils and 45 Fils.

15th Anniversary of Declaration of Human Rights – 1963 To commemorate the 15th anniversary of the Declaration of Human Right Kuwait issued a set of three stamps. The values issued were 8 Fils, 20 Fils and 25 Fils.

Eradication of Malaria – 1963 – Imperforated While the Eradication of Malaria issue was only issued as perforated some imperforates sheets of a few values are known to exist.

The sheets were cut into singles, pairs and blocks and sold by Stephan and Mosden. Copies of the imperforated stamps are rare.

Eradication of Malaria – 1963 To commemorate the campaign to eradicate malaria Dubai issued a set of nine stamps and three souvenir sheets.

In addition to the 3np, 30np, 40np and 70np values the set consisted of three 1np values of the same design, but different colors, and two 2np values in both different design and colors.

Eradication of Malaria – 1963 – Mosquito Body Flaw A constant plate variety is found on the three 1np and 30np values in the form of a piece of the mosquito’s body missing just under the top left leg.

Mosden stated that this was a constant plate variety and was found in the bottom left corner of each sheet. However, sheets without the plate variety are known to exist indicating that the issue was reprinted at some point of time.

Eradication of Malaria – 1963 – Souvenir Sheets Along with the set of stamps commemorating the campaign to eradicate malaria three imperforated souvenir sheets were also issued. The values of the souvenir sheets were 30np, 40np and 70np and they were issued in different colors to that of the stamps.

Eradication of Malaria – 1963 – Publicity Sheets The Eradication of Malaria sheets were made at the Helio Electronic Press as publicity items for the press. They were not part of the Baroody Contract, Dubai Post Office or Dubai Philatelic Agency.

They come in three colors, being black, grey and orange and show the 40np and 70np values while the middle image, presumably the 30np value, only shows the frame.
