Education Day – 1966
To commemorate the Education Day held in 1966 Kuwait issued a set of three stamps. The values issued were 8 Fils, 20 Fils and 30 Fils.

Opening of Dubai Automatic Telephone Exchange – 1966
On 14 January 1966 a set of stamps commemorating the opening of Dubai Automatic Telephone Exchange was issued. The set consists of seven values being 10np, 15np, 25np, 40np, 60np, 75np and 2rs.
The 1966 Definitive Issue – New Currency
Bahrain’s third definitive set was issued on the 21st of January 1966 and launched not only the independent Bahrain Postal Authority but also the new currency – The Bahrain Dinar. The decimal points were now called Fils and there were 1000 Fils in a Dinar.
The set consist of a total of 12 values: 5 Fils, 10 Fils, 15 Fils, 20 Fils, 30 Fils, 40 Fils, 50 Fils, 75 Fils, 100 Fils, 200 Fils, 500 Fils and 1 Dinar.
The four low values depict a portrait of the Emir, Sheikh Isa bin Salman Al Khalifa with the remaining eight values depicting industrial progress and scenes from traditional crafts and life.

The Shaikh Sabah al Salim Definitive Issue – 1966
In 1966 Kuwait issued a definitive series of 8 stamps depicting the Ruler, Shaikh Sabah al Salim al Sabah. The values issued were 4 Fils, 5 Fils, 20 Fils, 30 Fils, 40 Fils, 45 Fils, 70 Fils and 90 Fils.

Space Rendezvous – Black Overprint Souvenir Sheets – 1966
In addition to the set of stamps issued a souvenir sheet containing the 50 NP and 1 Rupee was issued. The souvenir sheet was issued both as perforated and imperforated and both were overprinted in black and blue.

The Cap Gemini VI and VII Space Rendezvous – Black Overprint – 1966
On the occasion of the Cap Gemini VI and VII Space Rendezvous on the 15th of December 1965 the Postal Authorities of Qatar overprinted the 1965 ITU issue with an image of the spacecrafts and writing in English and Arabic stating the occasion. The overprint was done in black, blue and red.
All eight values were overprinted in black: 1NP, 2NP, 3NP, 4NP, 5NP, 40NP, 50NP and 1 Rupee.
The Cap Gemini VI and VII Space Rendezvous - Overprint Errors – 1966
On the occasion of the Cap Gemini VI and VII Space Rendezvous on the 15th of December 1965 the Postal Authorities of Qatar overprinted the 1965 ITU issue with an image of the spacecrafts and writing in English and Arabic stating the occasion. Three of the stamps have got errors in the overprint which have been acknowledged by Stanley Gibbons: The 3NP value shows a tight double overprint, The 4NP value shows and inverted overprint and the 40NP shows a wide double overprint.
