The Third Definitive Issue – 1966 – New Currency Surcharges. At some point of time, in conjunction with the introduction of the new dirham/riyal currency on 1 October 1966, the 3rd definitive set of stamps were surcharged with the new currency. The 13 new values were 5dh, 10dh, 15dh, 20dh, 25dh, 35dh, 40dh, 60dh, 1rl, 1.25rls, 3rls, 5rls and 10rls (the 1.50 rupee value was not surcharged).
