Gold and Silver Coinage – 1966
A gold and silver coinage set was issued in 1966 embossed on gold or silver foil and backed with “Walsall Security Paper”. A total of 12 values were released with 6 values showing the obverse side of the coins: 1NP, 4NP, 10NP, 70NP, 1 Rupee and 5 Rupees – and the other 6 values showing the reverse side of the coins being the Sheikh’s seal: 3NP, 5NP, 40NP, 80NP, 2 Rupees and 10 Rupees.

National Day – 1966
To celebrate the 5th National Day of Kuwait a set of three stamps was issued depicting an eagle and scales of justice. The values issued were 20 Fils, 25 Fils and 45 Fils.
U.N. 20th Anniversary Overprint - Souvenir Sheet – 1966
In order to commemorate the 20th anniversary of the United Nations the souvenir sheet issued to commemorate The International Cooperation Year was overprinted in black and red.

On the occasion of the International Co-operation Year in 1966 a set of 4 stamps were issued – all with the face value of 40 Naye Paise. The stamps were issued together in blocks of 4 with each sheet containing 4 blocks separated by gutter margins. The stamps were issued both perforated and imperfortated.

On 16 April 1966 a set of stamps commemorating Winston Churchill was issued. The set consists of four values being 1r, 1½rs, 3rs and 4rs.

Winston Churchill Commemoration – 1966 – Souvenir Sheet
In addition to the set of four stamps an imperforated souvenir sheet was also issued illustrating the four issued stamps as imperforated – the face value of the souvenir sheet being 9½ rupees.
The 1st error is a sheet with the yellow-olive color missing from the 1½rs stamp
The 2nd error is a sheet with the light blue color missing from the 3rs stamp
The 3rd error is a sheet with the claret color missing from the 4rs stamp
The 4th error is a sheet with all black color missing from the sheet.
The errors are questionable but included here for reference.

The 1966 Definitive Issue
The 1966 definitive issue of 12 stamps was the first Oman issue following its postal independence. The 12 values: 3 Baizas, 5 baizas and 10 baizas depict the Sultan's crest - 15 Baizas, 20 Baizas and 25 Baizas depict the Sultan's crest and Muscat Habour - 30 Baizas Nakhal Fort - 50 Baizas Samail Fort - 1 Rupee Sohar Fort - 2 Rupees Nizwa Fort - 5 Rupees Mutrah Fort and 10 Rupees Mirani Fort.
